Your directory visitors interested in submission to your directory can create an account in order to modify the staff they are going to submit. They have an account area where they can change their personal information like email, name and, of course, listing information.
There can be as many editors as you wish. You can configure your directory to accept listings from registered visitors only. So what this means? Webmasters should create an account and then they can submit a link from an account.
This could be claimed as a very convenient way to gather email addresses.

I happen to be a big fan of eSyndicat Software. We already own 2 licenses and look forward to "more to come". The tech support is great. I have only one complaint. Why does eSyndicat Tech Support actually supports the free version for people who have no intension of buying the software anyway. I've seen in the forums numerous people who have the free version looking for either customization or why this or why that.. The only WHY question is, WHY do they even get any attention. People who download the free version should not expect any support at all. Well, that's my testimony and I'm sticking to it!
