I am receiving the following error when attempting to access the admin URL after installation. Installation seemed to go perfectly, all requirements were met and there were no errors. I have removed the installation folder as requested.

    Browser Error:
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

    Apache Log Error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function posix_getuid() in /var/www/html/directory.mydomain.com/public_html/admin/util.php on line 645

I am using the latest version ie: eSyndiCat_v1.7 on a CentOS 6 box running the latest versions of apache, mysql and php

    Hello ausip!
    Welcome to our support forums!

Please try to run these commands:
    yum -y install php-process
    service httpd restart

    It should fix the problem.

Alex thanks for that. Installing that package fixed the issue. The directory, http://directory.bzinga.net, is now up and I can test it's functionality.
