That's not the way i like.
At least not for all new entrys.
What's about an upload function for new entrys ?
So the users can use their own made thumbs.

hi, I use the free 1.6 (thanks!) and grab the thumbshots from websnaper:

in line 307 of my layout.php I changed that thumbshotstuff url to websnaper url

			$out = "<div class=\"preview\"><img src=\"http://images.websnapr.com/?size=s&url={$aUrl}\" alt=\"\" /></div>";

it works well for me, I just had to adjust the size in style.css a bit
