moving the home page....

Hallo,
I have set up the script and tested it also modified it in a folder under the root directory ex. wwww.mydomain.com/test

now that I am satisfied I want to go public and make it show on the home page of my domain ex. wwww.mydomain.com/index.php how can I do that without loosing my data?
How can I move the site from the subfolder to the main dir?

Which version do you use?

You need to
1. Inform Simon that you be going to change address of directory.

2. Open your '../includes/config.inc.php'
and make necessary changes with following list of variables

$gDirConfig['base']
$gDirConfig['dir_path']
$gDirConfig['dir']
$gDirConfig['lang_path']

1. Move your files one directory level up
2. Manually modify your includes/config.inc.php file
these settings:

$gDirConfig['base'] = 'http://wwww.mydomain.com';
$gDirConfig['dir_path'] = '/home/yourdomain/';
$gDirConfig['dir'] = '/';

3. Then make similar changes in your database, dir_config table

That's all. Make sure your directory permissions are ok
