a really old good friend of mine married a filipina. Met her while he was serving in the U.S. Navy, 30 some years ago. Still married last I heard.

I think all of you who are not native speakers of English do very very well, FAR better than many high school students in this area who have been "taught" English all their lives. Sad commentary - on them....
Happy holidays to everyone, whether you celebrate Christmas, the Solstice, Hannukah, or Kwanzaa - or something I've missed. I'm very glad to have found this community!
