Default Different sites, one database?

I've searched and only come across something nearly like this, so I though I'd ask first.

I have 4 websites, each a different niche around central theme. Ideally, I'd like to be able to have directory of services (a lot of which share similarities across sites) which would be searchable form each site, but allow submissions on each site to the central database.

I don't know if I've made that clear or not, but, if so, can you tell me if that's possible...having one esyndicate set up serving 4 websites, hosted on a different server entirely??

Thanks

Welcome to our support forums

Unfortunately we don't have this ( It's quite complicated modification and we tried to implement it as plugin but in the process of creating it we found quite many problems - like plugins installation, news submission, etc. So we decided to stop its development

Sorry right now we don't have that functionality

Default Re: One Data Base Several Sites

As an alternative would it be possible to have the one central data base and then with the outlying domains set up with just the directory using an api from the main directory to fund the the outlying directories?

Should you require the need to add listing then have a script installed were the user is redirected to the main directory with the data base to complete the listing process there.

That way all updates to your software is controlled and so is the data in one central location.

Then have a plugin for the multiuser license which would accommodate this type of alternative.

I would be interested in such an alternative.

If you do not want to do this as an addon will you do a customization and if so could you pm a quote please.

Thanks

Welcome to our support forums

Do you wish to have the same DB on all your sites? Or you wish to use just some parts? If you wish to have just a copy it will be much easier to make this mode.

Let's discuss this in the ticket I have replied there
