Detailed Questions before purchase

I have several detailed questions. I have spent the last 2 hours reviewing your front end demo, admin demo, and forums, but a number of features are still not clear or may not be available. I would appreciate detailed answers where possible.

We are doing a proof of concept and when successful will roll out multiple sites. Currently 1 site up using phpMyDirectory, but just discovered esyndicat and it looks like you have much stronger SEO and Admin panel. But, concerned that some "geo" and "product" type features are not available.

Questions/Features?

1. Listings - are there fields for all of the following: street address, city, state, phone(s), email, website, etc. - some of these seem to be missing?

2. Can we import an excel file containing hundreds of listings (with all above fields). We can import one category at a time if necessary.

3. Can images (e.g. weekly specials, sales) be uploaded to a listing?

4. Can a user become the "owner" of a listing(s) if approved?

5. Assuming 4.=yes, then how does the user/owner of a listing manage their account (i.e. edit their description, phone #, upload images, etc.) by themselves?

6. Can the user/owner of a listing upload their own video, etc.?

7. Can a user/owner upgrade their listing to a different plan by themselves?

8. If 7.=yes then will the upgraded features (5. & 6.) be automatically enabled?

9. Can plans be customized by listing (not category) - including # of categories allowed for a listing in a specific plan, banners on or off for a listing in a specific plan, website link on or off for that listing, length of description, etc.?

10. Recurring (monthly, etc.) billing through paypal?

11. Can a listing be "attached" to multiple categories?

12. Is there a sidebox for "Latest Reviews (Comments)"?

13. Can visitors sort the listings (e.g. by address, highest rating, etc.) while viewing the directory?

14. Can email be sent to Admin automatically whenever something needs to be approved?

15. Is a comparison list of current plans automatically generated (so can display for visitors)?

16. Can List of Categories be displayed on left sidebox instead of center panel?

17. Can visitors subscribe to RSS feed for a specific listing (e.g. when user/owner of that listing changes their weekly specials)?

I only need 4 plans (for example), but each listing should be able to upgrade or downgrade to any plan at any time - not restricted by category. Different listings in the same category could each be on a different plan (one of the 4 plans).

I am not an expert but I can answer some of your questions. This is a superb product. The esyn team constantly is adding features and go out of their way to help with customized requests. They even have a "wish list" for future releases and let members vote for the features.

You can add fields to listings. There are also plugins that add fields (street, city, state, etc) to enable Google Maps. There are tons of plugins(i.e. RSS),

You can import a CSV file and map it to DB fields. I import by category.
You can also crawl a group of sites or spider individual sites.

3. Can images (e.g. weekly specials, sales) be uploaded to a listing?

Again - you can add fields to DB.-not sure if there is any automated way to change images based on date.

4. Can a user become the "owner" of a listing(s) if approved?
I think so but dont use this feature

1. Yes, you can create them yourself in admin panel. It's pretty easy to do this.
2. Yes, we have CSV Import plugin
3. Yes, you can create image type additional field. You can create as many images as you wish.
4. Yes, of course
5. Yes, they just login and see their listings in a list. They can edit it and they become approval after modification.
6. Yes, we have separate plugins for this. Youtube and additional fields functionality.

9. Number of categories - yes, addtional fields by plan, length of description - no

12. No, but this can be easily done as a separate plugin
13. By alphabet, rank, hits, date only. Additional would be quoted separately
