Simon I think artmacc means from the backend area of his domain... (i Think)
While I am thinking plugins it would be nice if the default display when you clicked manage plugins was "Installed Plugins" and not available plugins... 1 less click eachtime  lol

plugins available in our admin panel
Yes...it will save having to download plugin and ftp into site. Having the plugin available in our admin panel..1 click install.
