There is a functionality in eSyndiCat that allows to create different fields for different categories. So basically this functionality can be easily used as a classifieds.

That's what I was thinking, that eSyndiCat is so versatile that it cab easily be used for so many things. However, when I tried posting a "classified ad" type listing, after creating a Classified Ad Plan that and did not select for a "url" to be required, the listing form stukk had a red asterisk (*) showing that including a URL is required... which is what directories are basically for, but usually not used in classified ads. How do I make it NOT required to enter a URL?
I would then conversely like to charge more... have another plan for... adding/including a URL in a classified ad. Thanks!

eSyndiCat vs: Subrion Directory comparison chart
Hi Simon. I'm very interested in possibly upgrading to Subrion if there are enough reasons, features, etc. Are you working on a detailed comparison chart? If so, when will it be available? If not... I think it will help sales for you A LOT!

Hi Steve,
Currently we are working on one more package for the subrion cms - web directory package. Once it's released we will take care of the marketing stuff, right now there is no reason to upgrade to subrion I think. We will need some more time to polish the core, though it works ok - but I think we can get back to this in September once we release our 2.1 version.

I created the following site in joomla for an Investor that owns several rental properties...
He can go in through the front end and add properties, pictures, etc... http://jlkrealestate.com Don't know if this might be something like what your needing for individual owners, etc....
