Several Pre-Sales Questions

I have a couple of questions:

1. Are the link pages served up dynamic or are they published to static html documents? Do I have a choice of which method to use?

2. Our primary use is to manage our reciporcal link directory. It appears that several key capabilities are not standard features (M Brookes feature requests). What is the standard development cycle for eSyndiCat? One major release a year and a point release a year?

3. When will the next major release occur? What enhancements are planned?

4. What is the license upgrade policy for eSyndiCat? Free, minor charge or completely repurchase each license?

5. Multi-site support. We will need the software to support 5 different domains. Does the tool support multi-sites? Centralized admin/editor control?

6. If I start with a the free tool to see how I like the tool, conversion, template set up, etc. - What is involved to upgrade from free to pro product?

Thanks for your interest to our software and welcome to our support forums. I will try to explain how our software works and give the answers to your questions.

#1. The pages are dynamic. No static pages are created. But we actively use mod_rewrite module so pages URLs will look like static ones.
#2. Actually now we will release a version every two - three months. It depends on a number of features we gather for our next release. Version 2.1 will be released on the 1st, February and it will have not so many new features (of course there will be some new improvements). This version was targeted to increase our script speed and it already passed several tests. Next versions will be developed some faster and we will add more new features.
#3. I have mentioned it above. We added polls module, made some improvements with present functionality

#4. License upgrade - you just pay the difference and that's all :)
#5. No centralized admin panel. You will have to install the software separately.
#6. We offer free upgrade from our free to Pro version. I mean we will migrate your database. You will have to take care of template only.

I was testing the free version and there is one feature item that I did not see. When we set up a link with a reciprocal partner, we like to send out an email with the physical page the link will be located on. The emails that are created and sent show the category only.

Is there a feature to send the actual page the link is located on?
Is there a known mod to do this?
Would it take major effort to make this change?

We always have our system sort links by date entered, so they do not change. We have found this works best with websites with older reciprocal link checkers.

As a side note, I wanted you know of all the systems I have installed and tested, esyndicat has been one of the easiest to learn and make template changes. Some systems, the template system is so complicated, you basically shelve the product. Kudos for making the template system very simple and straightforward.

No problems with the exact page. You should just change email template. The tech guys will explain in details if you post this in our feature requests forum.
