After I successfully install the script. I get a Mysql Error as follows,

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/webdata/deopack/linux/referringsites.com/htdocs/temp/classes/DirDb.php on line 114
SELECT COUNT(`id`) FROM `dir_links` WHERE `id_category` = '0'
You have an error in your SQL syntax near '(SELECT t1.*, COUNT(DISTINCTROW t3.`id`) num_links, '0' `crossed` FROM `dir_cate' at line 1

you can check for this error at http://www.referringsites.com/temp/index.php

Please Let me know, what could I do to solve this thing out.

Thanks and Regards,
Meheer

Hey Nick,

I opened new account with ResellerZoom and made new clean install. Everything is fine except one page: when I click "news" button in the bottom menu I get the same message as other guys on top of the news page:

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/my_site/public_html/websources/classes/DirDb.php on line 111

I checked MySql version - 4.1.18-standard
This is my first experience with cPanel and reseller account.
Any ideas if I am doing something wrong or what could it be?

Thanks.

I am getting same error:

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/hwy777co/public_html/cdir/classes/DirDb.php on line 114
SELECT COUNT(`id`) FROM `dir_links` WHERE `id_category` = '0'
Got error 127 from table handler

Using free version 1.5
MySQL version 4.0

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello mrallen,

I investigated this error and I have found that it is error in MySQL database.

Thanks for your help, Sergey. I finally realized that I needed to start over. So, I created a new database and reinstalled the script. I am now adding all the links manually (using the cache of the pages on Google).

Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Hi
Please make sure you have enabled news functionality in admin panel. I used to meet this problem before and I went to news configuration in admin panel and clicked save. The problems disappeared. Please let me know the results.

I just purchased eSyndicat Pro and got the same error:

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/username/public_html/maternal/directory/classes/DirDb.php on line 111

PHP version 5.1.2
MySQL version 5.0.18-standard

Can anyone give me a clue as to what might be causing this warning?

I just found the above posts....

I can't even login to admin. I get a similar problem when I put in the username and password

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/username/public_html/maternal/directory/classes/DirDb.php on line 94

Any ideas?

For some reason, when I first installed, the database was no populated. I just done a reinstall and all seems to be working fine.
