eSyndiCat 2.2.00 has been released

Greetings,

I'm happy to announce our long awaited 2.2 version has been released. We did really many changes in this version and it seems to be the most stable release we have ever done.

It took rather much time to prepare this version but it is worth waiting. So here is the list of new features and changes:

New Features
1. Plugins system that makes our software extremely flexible
2. Advanced Sponsored Functionality
a. set different prices for categories
b. set additional fields for sponsored plans
c. possibility to add sponsored links in several categories (multi crossing)
d. add deep links for sponsored listings
3. Additional fields for different categories
4. Menu builder - now you can manage each menu on your site (add/edit/remove items from any menu of the script)
5. Visual Manage Mode - allows to change display location of your custom/plugin blocks
6. Custom blocks functionality - now you can create custom blocks in using admin panel. No need to modify your templates
7. Advanced Log System to debug errors if any occurs
8. Improved caching
9. Professional template
10. Specific customization for different types of listings
11. Favourite listings
+++ many many new small features created for easier and more convenient script management.

Also we tried to fix all the reported bugs.

PLUGINS
The plugin systems really makes the script very flexible and easy to use. You do not need to have all the functionality bundled in one script. You just configure it to your own needs using our plugin syste. Below is the list of new plugins that have been created in our 2.2 version

1. Alphabetic search
2. Bad words filter on listing submission
3. Banners plugins - it was built in previous version. Now it's a separate plugin
4. Contact Member - allows to contact account
5. Coupons - allows to add discount on sponsored link purchase
6. Display URLs - commonly used in affiliate directory in order to hide actual listing URL and display fake URL instead
7. FAQ - it's rather easy to create a separate faqs section on the site
8. Google Map - displays google map on the site pages
9. Sitemaps plugin
10. Importer from CSV
11. Logs viewer

14. Polls
15. RSS
16. Spider

How do you install the upgrade from V2.2 RC2 to the new 2.2.00? do you just install it to your files and that it or do you have to iniate an install?:fool:

Here is the screenshot. It's possible you are trying to download from MORE DOWNLOADS area.
Please check this.

I suppose that sliding button should be always displayed just disabled. As the folks get confused and try to download from More downloads section.
