Hello all,

I just have a idea to make some MOD for eSyndiCat directory, It will be called "ExFeed" or "Getting links from another eSyndiCat directory".

I explain what I mean. For example if you have 2 eSyndiCat directories www.domain-1.com and www.domain-2.com. You could display some links on www.domain-2.com which there are in the www.domain-1.com.

So I just want to ask - do you need this MOD??

I think it would be useful for some of my categories. I work with sport aviation and some aspects of aviation are common in various sports, so yes - it would be useful.

Also you could exchange links between other eSyndiCat directory owners.

Yes, Sergey this is a very good idea.

I was thinking about this ability for a long time. Lets say I have two sites with related content and I want to add directories to both of them.
If I understand you correctly this mod will let me use the same database for both directories?

Please give us little bit more details how exactly this mod supposed to work.

No. The ExFeed will get some links from other eSyndiCat directory. There is special php file which will be generate some java script code with links details.

Just look at image.

Sergey, I'm not sure about technical details. I have not checked your MOD yet. I think the very best way is to use XML instead of javascript. Please don't hesitate to consult with Jason about this modification

No. I think XML it is not good -- parse a XML file :crazy-be: I think the best a way use a JSON :) :cool-yo:

Hey Sergey, this sounds like an awesome plug...I think you should solicit the board for donations to fully develop this and then release it for free. I'd be willing to donate $40 USD or something to the cause...I think a lot more people would use that plug in when they come across it...I don't think very many people are going to speak up that they would use it because this isn't a daily forum for gossip and story telling...so I think the bulk of the users come to this forum when they need to not regularly looking for polls. I visit pretty regularly and never saw this thread until you pointed it out to me. It sounds like a great plugin and I think others would be willing to contribute. Maybe you can set a limit and take donations until you achieve your figure and only release it to people that donate until your "reserve" number is met...I'd be in for that...

Hello rondelw,

I have amazing idea in my head. I want to create tool for managing your all directories from one application (tool). So you will have able approving, copying, removing etc categories and listings. I think it would be good tool.

I hope it's a better one then that time when you thought you could tie a cap onto you back and jump off the roof and fly like SuperMan. :]:forgive:
