Hello,

while reading some posts an looking for useful information, I have found that some of the members actually sign their posts and include all their directory sites in the footer.

I open 4 o them and founded that all use the same template (Green Leaves if you wonder) and of course looks exactly to mine.

While Internet is very big and each one can market their directory to a different niche, I don't think is healthy for anybody to look the same.

I know there are other templates to choose. The problem here comes to upgrading and not all upgrades work in all templates... am I right?

Well, I found a little bit uncomfortable to see other directories just like mine and I some questions have arise:

- Do all new version updates work with ALL available templates? If not, can you tell exactly which ones are updated and which don't? Or how do we proceed if we nee

- I guess we can totally change the layout with some knowledge of CSS and some of digital drawing. Can you create a document that explains basically the CSS structure of a generic template (such as Green Leaves) or at least put some comments in the Style.css file all can make changes to the layout?

- Are there any recommendations while changing the css file?

Thanks
Regards
Daniel

PS. I need to create an extra field (for the field city) for all submited listings and be able to filter listings using this field (a new page with the filtered results could be great as this can be also crawled by bots) or at least alfabethicaly filtering those results. Can this be done? Maybe in a MOD?

We also would love to have a MAP with all categories, subcategories short descriptions dynamically created and linked to main page. Often this page ranks well if it is well done and linked to main page.

Thanks.

It is not good that we all use one template.
That clubed with all of use the same category sturcture.

== The combination is very bad.

wish there are more paid templates comes here.

Not sure why the template creators don't make templates for eSyndicat.

there $10 and $15.00 templates available and I wish we get those guys here.

Thanks

Hi guys,

Yes, we will upgrade all templates that come with our Pro version.

I guess we can totally change the layout with some knowledge of CSS and some of digital drawing. Can you create a document that explains basically the CSS structure of a generic template (such as Green Leaves) or at least put some comments in the Style.css file all can make changes to the layout?
I will ask David to prepare this kind of tutorial.

Are there any recommendations while changing the css file?
No. Just use our templates CSS files as an example.

Can this be done? Maybe in a MOD?
Yes, this can be done but it will require additional php files tweaking. Please submit a ticket in our custom modification request.

We also would love to have a MAP with all categories, subcategories short descriptions dynamically created and linked to main page. Often this page ranks well if it is well done and linked to main page.
Will be done and posted asap. Thanks for your suggestion

We have already hired a person to adapt some templates from other scripts for our software and arranged an agreement to keep their copyrights in esyndicat templates

Hi vic2msn,
If you keep copyright link to esyndicat you may use them for your other software. Actually these templates are done by our designer and of course you may not use our design for other scripts without esyndicat team permission

You can probably link it to the intelliants.com instead - that is the parent company...
