How to create a template?

I bought premium version of esyndicate...I have experience with php..and i want to create my own template for my website..how to create a template? I never heard of .tpl files what are they? and which language is used for creating templates? Please esyndicate team..help me...

The eSyndiCat use a Smarty Template Engine http://smarty.php.net/ If you have knowledge of HTML you can create template so easy.
