I am wondering why I don’t get more visitors on my homepage www.danmarksguiden.dk.

I have been running my site about one year now, and I only have about 175 visitors a day.

I have 1300 links in 400 categories

I have pagerank 4 and soon pagerank 5

I have a lot of back links and partner deals.

I started out whit ESyndicat version 1.2 and upgrade to 2.0.0

1. I don’t know if sitemap works, maybe that’s one of the reasons?

2. I have only made description, Meta-description and Meta-keywords for some of the categories, maybe that’s why I don’t get more visitors?

3. Will I get more visitors if I upgrade to 2.1.03?

4. My competitor is www.danskelinks.dk he has 2000 visitors a day, and has only been in buissnes 3 months more than I have. When I search in google, his page is always shown many paged before my page. Why is that?

5. If I need to upgrade, is there someone that will do that for me. I will need all upgrades since 2.0.0 and you must ensure that (sitemap?) and all other things work as it does now. Same theme and all my screenshots must work. Also I am not satisfied that the click counts on my page take up so much space in database, is it possible to remove that. I need a complete upgrade, so that I don’t need to do anything. Please give me a price and tell me when it will be done.

If you have any proposal which my site can benefit from please say so.

Best regards

Keld Nielsen

Sorry completely :offtopic:

@OWG
Take a look at this page of your site:

"Link added: Nov 5, 2021"

Submit, submit, and submit to as many directories and search engines as you can. Also try to do some link exchanges.
You have only 59 back links found by Google and your competitor has over 1000 Google back links.

This is the answer to your question why his site is found more often than yours.

Try to write descriptions to every category than Google may assign higher rank to the pages 2-3 levels deep - right now all of your pages except index have page rank 0.

WTM is correct. Your competitor has 20 times the number of links to his site than yours. Obviously Google will rank his site higher than yours. Another possible reason is your competitor is using sub-domains to organize his categories. It's been quoted that sub-domains can be seen as separate websites. So in effect all his sub-domains link back to his home page creating a mass of inbound links!

There is a lot of discussion about sub-domains and whether they work or not in webmaster forums. I'm of the view they do because Google seems to rank a lot of sites highly that have a large structure incorpating sub-domains. Whether they will in future remains to be seen.
