If you enable Sponsored Links and a payment module (2Checkout for instance), where does a customer go to sign up/purchase a Sponsored listing? What does he click?

Hello nsipartners,
Go to Admin Panel » Manage Plans » Add Plans » and add necessary plans.
When visitors will suggest a link, they will be able to choose plan for their link. After suggestion they can pay and transfer data about it to you.

Hello Dave, thanks for the response, but how do you apply a plan after the link is already created?

Hi nsipartners

In your admin panel if you click on active listings

a list of your listings should come up

then on the left, check the box for the listing you wish to alter

then at the bottom of your list of listings there should be 2 option boxes

status and action

click on the action box and a dropdown menu appears

then click on mark as

and then choose sponsored

lastly if you have a plan or plans a pop up window should open asking you which plan you wish to assign.

Regards

Shelly:)

Ok, I see. Thanks Shelly. FYI, don't click Go, just wait for the javascript box to popup.
Now, how do you remove the Sponsored status? :ooi: I tried doing the same process again -- this time from within the Sponsored Listings manager -- but it didn't remove the Sponsored status.

Hi again

You should be able to remove it from there

the check box to remove sponsored is to the left of removed sponsored

Shelly, for me there is no checkbox to remove the sponsored status. Check out the screenshot attached. Also, I'm using version 2.0, is what you're describing something new introduced in 2.1[.03]?

Hi

I notice in your attatched image that the 2 links that are showing

their status is 'active'

mark as unsposored would only appear if the link you check is sponsored to begin with

Do you mean that you can only mark a link as unsponsored if it was marked sponsored when it was suggested? You cannot unmark a link if you marked it *after* it was added into the database?

I'm just trying to understand here.

Hi

I have made links sponsored after registration and have had no problems in making them unsponsored again.

All I am saying is that the 2 links in your attached image are marked as active and are not sponsored.

I am still learning myself and all I know is that mark as unsponsored for a link will not appear if the link is not marked as sponsored in the first place.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but being marked active just makes them appear in the directory. If you change their status it just changes the links "approval status."

The 2 links are being viewed in the "Manage Sponsored Listings" area, meaning that they are sponsored in some way, otherwise they would not be showing up there.

What version of esyndicat are you using, Shelly? I'm using 2.0, so maybe I need to upgrade to 2.1 to fix a bug.

I appreciate your continuing willingness to help!

Hi and sorry

I should of read your post more closely

in your attached image you are already viewing in "Manage Sponsored Listings"

Too much vino on my part I guess:)

I fully understand what you mean now

ermm yes it is strange that you do not seem to have the facility to mark as unsponsored

I am using 2.1.03

but I would of thought the feature to unmark would of been in 2.0 as well

guess it must in deed be a bug then

sorry for being so vague

Shelly

Shelly, thank you again for your help. It seems it was indeed a bug. I upgraded to 2.1.03 and now I can check "remove sponsored status."
