Before I Download Patch 2.1.03 And Install Patch

Before I download patch 2.1.03 and upload could I get help with the following?

1) After the install and setting up Cron I received the following error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '(', expecting '}' in /home/sevensto/public_html/links/cron/check.php on line 287

I was instructed to follow instructions from this link to fix the problem.

Now I get the following error.

How do I correct the above?

2) When a link is submitted the link TITLE is always 'Mr'.

How do I correct the above?

3) Manage Pages:
Before I realized not to change "News" URL= news.php
"Tell A Friend" URL= tell-friend.php
"Contact Us" URL= contacts.php
Now all three of the URLs default to the above URLs with (http://) in front so I am unable to access the three above pages.

How do I correct the above?

#1 There is new cron jobs file in the patch 2.1.03 (includes/cron.php)

#2 Apply patch and if you will have similar problem let me know.

#3 Login to admin panel

Admin Panel » Manage Pages » Edit Page:
External URL: Yes
Page External URL: tell-friend.php

Similar for contacts.php.

#3 Does not work for me It still defaults with (http://) in front of the URLs
Example: (http://tell-friend.php) so therefore I can not access the pages.
