Ctype Extension Failed?

I ran the text requirements on my server and failed for
Ctype Extension required.
What is this and how do I get it on my server?

Hi and welcome to our support forums,
Please reupload the file. This extension is not required anymore. If there is a way to ask your hosting to install it that would be perfect. Though the script will work without this extension as well.

Simon, I almost skipped testing your script because I got that error when I ran your test.php. Don't you think it would serve you well to fix that, and make some note as to what it is and why it would help the script work?
