.htaccess files

I am on Yahoo hosting. I know, from experience, that I cannot upload .htaccess files to Yahoo. I saw that the script includes .htaccess files. But, I also saw that if I disable an apatche mod, I guess I don't need them. What exactly do I disable and how do I do it? It's important to run this on my Yahoo host because that's where my store is that I'm trying to draw traffic to.

If you don't want use the mod_rewrite for your directory you have to disable it in the admin panel of the eSydniCat:

Admin Panel » Configuration » General Configuration » Apache mod_rewrite module : disable
