Hello,
I want to change default word used for links/link (which is "links"/"link") to something different: tutorials/tutorial. In all places on my tutorials directory.
Sample:
New Links -> New tutorials
Popular links -> Popular tutorials
Suggest Link -> Suggest Tutorial
Aso
What's the best approach ?

This is for eSyndiCat Pro v2.0.01
I made similar changes yesterday. I changed "SUBMIT LINK" to "SUBMIT BUSINESS". changes can be seen on top menu at Kennel Space (http://www.kennelspace.co.uk)
To make your changes:
Log in to admin
Select "language Manager" (from left menu)
Selct the download button for the desired language
Open file.
From top pull down menu select find
Type in your phrase you wish to change "New Links"
Select Find
Make required changes to highlighted words when found. You can select "Find Next" to find additional wording that is the same. I found several entries that I changed at the same time.
Carry out this action for any other changes you wish to make.
When changes have been made.
From top pull down menu Select "Save As"
Ensure the name is not changed.
If it was English it would be "esc_language.sql"
Temporarily save it to your desk top or an area of your choice.
Now back in admin select "Download/Upload" button.
On the Import Box select "Browse"
Find your file you have just save to your desktop
Select file
Press Import
That completes the process. Obviously if your site is multi language you would have to carry out the same changes for each langurage.
Now just refresh your site and the changes should take effect.
Kindest regards
John
Also if you don't want to download then upload the file, the easiest way is to do it all through the admin panel.
Admin Panel » Language Manager
Click on Edit / Translate English phrases (or whatever the language you want to edit)
Then click on "Search in Phrases"
Type in the word or phrase you wish to edit
Click Search
Now under the "Value" column click on the word or phrase you want to edit.
Type in your new word and hit save.
