BUG or Feature?

I added a field 'image' via 'Manage Listings Fields'.

Now when
I enter an link and leave that (now appearing) image field empty ... the system still creates something like that in mysql "smlban2-40f6e06676."

In my opinion it shouldn't create an entry if there isn't one entered.

Any suggestion where I should change something in the code?

(Best would be something which will make it into the next version).

Hello khunjack!

It isn't a BUG! When someone is adding a image the system rename a image and assign it new name, it is saving new name in the database.

You misread ... nothing is/was entered.

This way I can't just question ... is field =''
also I can not question that field "smlban2-40f6e06676" cause 40f6e06676 is a running number.

so I need now to ask ... find the dot ... if there is no gif/jpg extension ..etc... skip...there is no picture uploaded or something similiar!!

Honestly, doesn't this sounds silly ?

Thank you for reply.

It is easy to reproduce. just create an addtl. field ..with an file prefix and leave it empty when you submit a link.
BTW: if you create a link in the admin panel ... that field stays empty as it should be.

I think nobody tested that ever.
