i wanted to know if its posible for the clients of the web portal to download a file and place it on his server which shows all the links which are available on my portal. you can check this file out here, http://www.aywaa.com/links.php . this is the way used by http://www.indexguy.com.

i also wanted to know if we can have sponsored links because eventually running a linking exchange portal we want to make money out of it

Well, if I understand you correctly you want to provide your visitors a way to take content from your site? For say I have a site and I would like to have some links from your category. If so then yes. We have RSS feeds functionality and everyone can create a parser to take content from your website.
Also you can create sponsored links. We have two payment modules - paypal and 2checkout. So your visitors can pay to be listed in your portal. Besides, you can configure your directory to accept paid listings only.
