Patch 2.0.01 Released!

Greetings,

I'm happy to announce new patch release. Here is the list of issues that have been solved in it.

1. PayPal problem fixed
2. Manage Database (magic_quotes, prefix issues)
3. Manage Language (prefix, delete language issues)
4. Navigation pages display problem (mod_rewrite issue, incorrect pagination)
5. Crons fixed
6. Broken links checking problem
7. Incorrect display of active links number in admin panel
8. Assign link functionality fixed (cross linking)
9. Editors change password problem
10. Editors change password notification

INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO APPLY PATCH:
1. Make a backup of your working version
2. Download Patch 2.0.01 from our downloads area.
3. Unpack it to your PC
you can see the following items: admin, classes, cron, plugins, templates, updates, index.php, payment-canceled.php, payment-complete.php, purchase.php, util.php.
4. Upload all these unpacked folders and files to your installed esyndicat directory.
5. Go to admin panel -> Manage Database -> Import
choose patch_2.0.01.sql from the dropdown list and click go.

There are three files in your templates directory. Move them to your working template.

Now you should manually modify one file. it's index.tpl. Find there the following code:
{navigation aTotal=$total_links aTemplate=$url aItemsPerPage=$config.num_index_links aLinksPerPage=$config.num_navig_pages aType=4}
The code can have different aType value depending on template. Anyhow you should use 4 for it.

That's all. Let us know if you have any problems.

You say that one of the fixes is for the Paypal problem. Does this mean that it's no longer necessary to upload the PayPal IPN patch/module that was made available on 14 Nov., or do we still need to use both the 2.0.01 patch and the PayPal patch?

A fresh installation of 2.0 with all patches applied - 3 issues:

1. How do I assign a link to another category? I cannot find this!

2. Cron job runs (after setting file permissions on check.php) and reports the following:

/home/XXXXXXX/public_html/cron/check.php: line 2: /aquota.user: Permission denied

where xxxxxx_xxxx overtypes database name.

That IPN patch already included in patch version. If you have version 2.0 in your admin panel footer that means you have not applied the patch. All the version that are still downloaded from our site should be patched later as well.
I will inform when I update current version in order to download 2.0.01 version.

Manually modify sql file from updates directory. Use correct tables prefix instead of {prefix}

"Please check copy link functionality in admin panel." - I am sorry but I cannot see this anywhere. Can you be more specific, please.

I would have expected to see a 'copy' funtcion next to the 'move' function in the 'Edit Listings' screen or a menu item in the left hand menu (similar to 'Copy Category') or check box in the configuration settings to turn something on.

When I select mod_rewite option some links don't work and others try to open .html files instead of .php.

It's ok - Sorted it.

The proble was that the install did not overwrite the .htaccess file (so it was still blank).

I just pasted the contents from esyndicat .htaccess (as supplied with download) to the copy on my server.

All Done!

My post has gone un-answered for going on 5 days now, so maybe the ticket system would be your best bet.

Question: During the install you would've seen a screen that was checking
your server for important configurations. Was everything labeled as important
in green? Can't remember if it was yes and no answers or not...

Just went to install the 2.0 patch finally on my old scripts and it crashed my entire site greatthing.com. I thought I did all the modifications/ uploads. It is not hooking up to my sql though. Any suggestions how to ge this fixed? Here my current error (although they keep changing LOL)

Kredit, I've checked your directory and fixed you problem. But before you will apply patch to Pro 2.0.0x version you ought to implement upgrade from Pro1.2 to Pro2.0. Please visit this thread for this:

Ive applied this patch but still have the problem with the html and when I changed templates its not recognising it properly.

I'm able to login into the admin panel with no problems, just the blank page.
