Hi,

I've set up a Simple Machines Forum (http://www.simplemachines.org/) site(http://www.safeberths.com/forum). I'd like to add an eSyndicat links directory as an add on to it.
Has anyone done this / know how to do it? Afraid I have very little programming experience.

If an easy way of adding eSyndicat as a module to programs such as Simple Machines Forum and the various content management systems it would probably result in a big increase in sales as the links directory modules already available for these programs don't come anything close to the features and usability of eSyndicat. If you visit the links part of my forum (above) you'll see how poor the existing liks module is!

Thanks in advance, regards

Ed

Two scripts don't have to be integrated to work fine together.
You can simply install eSyndicat in subfolder and use common main navigation.
Also the template has to be made to match SMF or other CMS software.

Here is an example how two scripts working together without any integration:

CMS: http://www.yarm-online.net/

eSyndicat: http://www.yarm-online.net/directory/

(I hope Mr. Red forgives me for posting links to his site...)

No problem WTM.

The only reason you will ever need true integration is if you want a common login to both areas. In most cases a directory will be or should be visible to all, so using a common template gives the impression of integration.

With SMF you just need to alter the url of the "Links" menu item to point to the directory.

WTM did the template matching, so give him a call.
