DO the cron files check.php and sponsored.php actually work for anyone?
If they do, how did you get them to work??
What exactly are each of these files suposed to do? How do you tell if they are working and actually doing something?
My check.php seems to process without any errors when I hit it manually with a browser, but I don't know what it's supposed to "check" so I can see if it's doing anything.
As for my sponsored.php it's jsut screwed up. following the "unofficial" fix in this thread... http://www.esyndicat.com/forum/about7792.html has done nothing other than keep the php file from spitting out an error.
What exactly is the purpose of sponsored.php? Is it to check current sponsored plans for expiry dates and "deactivate" them if they are due/overdue?
I am just wondering about this because getting these blasted crons sorted is pretty much the last critical thing I need to do before I go live. Everything else i can deal with "on the fly" I am at the point I'd PAY someone to actually fix the stuff I need fixed.
anyways, hopefully I can get a detailed explaination of what each file does and a PROPER fix for my sponsored cron issue in the post I mentioned here.
All the best!
