I am using the Ocean template for version 2, and I have my sample logo set as the background in the 'logo' Div layer. I had to add the height to get it to show right. But now it messes up the 'menu' div layer when viewed in Firefox(looks great in IE). The menu div will drop down, and then the bright orange background shows.

What can I do to keep it from doing this? The site I am working on is http://www.ukyankeecraftsdirectory.co.uk . I would like to keep the logo this size as I felt it looked too small using the original logo's dimensions. The same thing happens when I use the logo as an image in the div layer too.

Thankyou for your help!:)

Hello jsgypsy,
For me all looks well, but we have some problem with "Ocean" template in IE. We will alter this template and it will be shortly accessible to uploading.
We apologize for inconvenience.

Why don't you look in your stylesheet for the code for orange and replace it with blue? It will be something like background-color: #xxxxxx; or background-color: #xxx;

Look at the divs used for that part of the page and find them in your stylesheet and look for either a "background- color" or "backgound-image" to change.

Well, yes, I have thought about changing the background color, but I left it as is for now so I could easily notice any shifting of the template when I made changes.

I was just wondering if there was something else I could do with the CSS code so that the menu div layer did not get pushed down, which is what happens when I view it in Firefox - my logo pushes the layer down and so I would end up with a band of colour. I know I could fix this if it used tables, but I am still a newbie with these div layers.

Hi, jsgypsy!

Yes, we had some problems with "Ocean v2.0" template. But we have fixed it and tested for various browsers. It works fine :D . I recommend you to download this fixed template and try it out. I think it will be suitable for you.

You can download it here: http://www.esyndicat.com/shop/general/ocean-l11.html

There seems to be a problem with that download as it downloads Aqua. I reloaded v2 and got the template off there.

At the moment I have just made my logo smaller. The effect I was trying to do would be similar to having a cell in a table span 2 rows. I wanted the Logo div to span the combined height of the Header2 and Top Menu div layers. Right now it can only be as high as Header2.

I hope that makes sense. How about some images.....

This is how it looks now, with a thinner logo, which I really don't care for:

This is how it looks with the larger image... notice how it pushes the Top Menu div downward:

And this is what I want to achieve.... to have the logo larger, and span the two div layers so that no background shows:

I hope that makes it a bit clearer.:wink:
