How to add meta description for home page ie. index.php. I could't findout any location to add the meta description for home page.

Hello jinomjoseph and welcome!
Admin Panel » Browse Categories » "Edit" button in the top right corner.
Page " Edit Category " for editing ROOT category will open. "meta description" in this category will be concerns to index.php
