Paypal?

Hi,
This is a pre-purchase question. I have been researching this script and comparing it to another one. I read a comment elsewhere that paypal functionality in esyndicat is a little 'strange'.

Can someone shed some light on this. I don't know more about it, and not yet having a functional copy of the system, I cannot really evaluate that claim.:dance2:

I have been dealing with PayPal module and want to say that the majority of times it works and for some customer it (default implementation) fails to work. I haven't yet found the reason (probably specific PayPal settings).

But, I've developed a workaround that uses PayPal's Instant Payment Notification mechanism (IPN). So, if you discover that the default version is not working for you feel free to contact me and I will send you the package. Installing the package is really a snap as it only requires uploading some files.

Is it not more 'industrial strength' to just make the IPN version the default for your script?

Yes, I agree with you. IPN is absolutely better then the default way. I will twist Simon's arm to include it in the next version ;)
