My suggest a link function requires that visitors log in before submitting a link.
Is there anyway I can to turn this feature off so that visitors are able to submit a link without registering?

Welcome Sage, have you tried in Admin to turn off the editor function? Better go have a look.

Under Configeration> Editors Configuration>Editors Functionality> Set to Disable.
