I am sorry to burden you all with a very strange post...but i regard you all as an extention of my family...
At 5.30am this morning i was awoken by the supervisor, anyone who's visited my site may know who i am talking about, my lovely big fluggy white cat...half a sleep and hearing him making a sound like he was going to cotch up a fur ball, a usual occurance for a long haired cat, he knew that he had to go out side and do this..so i came down to open door, not looking at him, he shot out...Being white however instantly i saw his poor little face was covered in blood, and depressed looking...immediately i feared the worst and chased after him, but he escaped behind a garage that i couldn't get behind..for over an hour i called, and called, and was in hysterics..my poor baby had been run over by a car. Eventually we coaxed him out and grabbed him.
We have taken him to the vets, there is a good chance he will survive, disfigured he will be as his jaw was completely smashed..he still had the car tyre marks on his head...
So i am trying to keep busy until about 11 am when i will hear back, as to the extent of the damage..
In the mean time i hope you guys don't mind but I am asking for prayers for his recovery from all who read this, as they are extremely powerful in large quantities. He's my companion and to lose him will devastate me.
Here is a pic of him.. http://www.spiritmindbody.co.uk/images/snow.jpg
and in advance Thank You

Oh Mike he is so precious looking! What a cutie, Thank You both for your kind words...throughts and prayers every little helps...:)
Greg you too, Thank You Sweetheart...:friends:
Well an update, sorry would have been a bit earlier but i have been out of it entirely, had to take a tranquilizer to calm my nerves...so apologies.
Vet called around 11am, they operated on him around 9am this morning, they had to sew his tongue up, wire his jaw back into place, he lost a lot of fur on his face, when the tyre went over him, he also has lost a few toes on one of his feet. The little soldier has been patched up, we are hoping he does well now a few hours after the surgery. Will know more a little later..

Loren, hope you kitty makes a speedy recovery.
I know how attached we get to our pets and can relate to the pain you must be feeling.I am dealing with a 20.5 year
old doggie who is not doing too well as of late......and it breaks my heart as I am sure yours is as well.

Bless you SDawkins, i am hoping he will make a strong recovery, the vet had only positive words to say...he's not pretty to look at but he's, he has eaten and drunk on his own accord, granted only liquids but that is a fantastic sign..so soon after such an ordeal. He will have to have another op later to remove all the broken teeth and any other bits that may occur..
He should be home tomorrow, and i have set up my healing room for his convalescence, went out and got a huge cage and nice new bed so that he can't move around too much...
As for your Doggy..wow! What a wonderful age, dogs in general don't live that long, but alas its absolutely dreadful to see them decline, more for us emotionally than them, because they are one of the family, our children. So petal i shall be thinking of you and your pooch. :friends: If you have a photo send it to me, then when i have my distant healing periods i can send him some Reiki.
I wish you and your loved-one all the best!

Loren, snowy looks like a hard faced biker cat! No worries he'll survive to fight another day. He's got another 8 lives! Any scars will give him more street-cred.
When he's fit he can ride shotgun:cool-yo:

Hi Loren,
Sorry to hear about what happened, but I'm happy to hear he'll pull through this.
I know how you must be feeling. My dog was hit by a car 5 years ago. Lucky for him it was a low car and he bounced off the bumper. He limped away bruised and a lot wiser, but I clearly remember sitting up for the next few night with him.
All the best to you and Snowy!

Thank You Mike and Chuck .E :) glad to hear he bounced off, with very little damage, and is still with us fit and strong :good:
When dogs get hit by a vehicle it can be terrible, had an Alsation female dog that grow up with me, she was like my guardian and play mate, she was only about 18 months old and got out the grounds, unfortunately for her, the injuries were a bit more serious after being hit by a motorbike. Her hip smashed, she pulled through :) and we used to call her the bionic dog, coz she had this ability to jump 5 foot fences! LOL She lived til she was about 10, cancer got her in the end bless her. I think of all my animals that i have had, over the years, mainly kitties, 6 of these all 9 lives wiped out in one go, friends cats too that visited me, it always seems to happen in quiet roads, where they just don't expected one madman to come a long..not saying all drivers are madman..because cats can be so unpredictable.
As for my supervisor snowy, i hope he will also bounce back and be strong again :)

Bless you & thank you both! :)
He's home now and is a total nutter! :yahoo:Will not stop giving love, he looks so pathetic tho, battered & bruised, fur less, dribbling like nothing on earth cos his tongue and jaw are all swollen up...but i think this is a good indication that he is going to heal quickly!
We had lots of lovely washing moments with cotton wool, because he can't wash, oh and he cracked me up, he has to eat food that is basically slop..he came out into the room and then stuck his paw through the cage (containment for his safety) into his bowl, which was a bit deep for him to get his head in, and scoped up the food, and scraped it on the side of the bowl, and looked at me as if to say, what do you think this is??? The proceeded to walk the remaining food on foot all around room, purring away..
Probably wont be around much he's very demanding, and hey who couldn't resist :)

Glad to hear your little guy is home and on the mend.

Yeah it's amazing how resilent some cats are. I had adopted my sisters cat, who was 8 years old, he fell from a 5 story apartment block, not once but twice..he never had any injuries :o but my sister was so scared third time would be last time..so he came to live with me, at the age of 14 years he got knocked over broken leg right under joint, had to have it pinned, it later came through...yuck, and he had to have a spaniel dog pin..recovered perfectly. He lived till he was 18 years old, and then only had to be put to sleep because silly elderly neighbour 4 doors away didn't recognise him as my cat, and thought he was pregnant, so kept hold of him..two weeks later she asks me if was ours, and i hadn't found him in that time with all the signs up and calling, so i thought he had died quietly somewhere...he was suffering with kidney failure and blew up 3 times his original size! Poor babe..rushed him immediately to vets, and started treatment, but it was too late, few weeks later his heart started to give in too, so we made the decision it was kinder to let him not suffer any more..but even then he didnt give in..It was the most heart rending thing i had to endure, he eventually died in my arms. :poka:
I love cats, and dogs, in fact any animal, even had a pet rat, Rufus! Have 3 snakes and one bearded lizard, as well as Snowy..
So i get a bit upset when ever i see animals hurt or even the wild animals on the road side, i always say a bless their souls, may they go on to the next life peacefully, as i go over them..
Anyway snowy is back at vets for the day, tongue still very sore, and he wouldn't eat, so vets gonna try force feeding him. He's as bright as a button considering..but he's getting better every day! :)

How's Snowy doing Loren?
He's doing Great! :dance2: He didn't have the additional operation after all, the vet showed me his mouth and it's healing so nicely, lovely and pink, think the swelling is putting his jaw out a bit, so eating was difficult and still is, but he has been back to the vets every day, and they have been force feeding him, but this evening he actually was doing it by himself, although small bits it's great progress considering he was near to death only 5 days ago! Lots of love, all your prayers and thoughts, plenty of drugs, lots of healing and reiki music which was on repeat (must of driven the little soul crazy). We have been playing and kissing and laughing, yes he's been doing all this with his little distorted face. His fur is coming back through where it was clean shaved off by the road.
He's as loving as can be, actually more loving, and just like his mother very demanding! But so full of life..he's scratching my wooden shelf with avengence, which normally i would be going oi! use the fence but he can now use this i don't mind at all. Now hes next to his dad, whilst he watches a film.
Here he is, looking bit rough and ready, only just getting to grips with cleaning again, but as handsome as ever

Don't have a go at him just yet, but when he's a healed you sit him down and give him a good talking to!
A lot of these sort of injuries can be avoided by wearing a decent crash-helmet!

Just a quick update on the white monster!
It's been 3 weeks, since the boy got injured in an RTA and we've had our ups and downs during that time, including another operation..the most frustrating thing being him not able to eat full stop, feeding him with syringed liquidized food. The good news is and i touch wood when i say this..is he's eating now on his own and has an appertite as big as he had before..just as picky though! So i am over the moon, 2 full days of eating a few small cans of kitty food and a slab of fresh tuna seasoned and saute'd in butter..damn that makes me hungry..the fur on his face has regrown so hes looking more like a cat, mouth will never be the same but at least its straighter after the last op and he's able to eat...and driving me nuts with his escaping through small windows slightly ajar...grrrr.
Least he comes back..course thats the next dilema..do i let him out again as before or now make him a prisoner...
Thanks all of you for being so supportive and helping us get through this, all your best wishes, prayers and thoughts, I am sure they helped heal Snowy, and keep me calm :crazy-be: so here he is taken today.
http://www.bandschool.co.uk/images/snowsept.jpg
