Anybody Placed Text Link Ads On Site?

Howdy....... has anyone placed Text Link Ads into an existing template? I have some PHP code to use but I'm not sure how to go about adding it to my Sunny Day template. I want it to show in the footer.tpl under some other ads that are there. How do I add php into a tpl file?

I have added that on my pet site. Sold one ad.
Just put {php} {/php} around the code and place it where
you want it to show.
