Hi,
I have read as much as I can find about setting up paid, sponsored and featured links and still haven't pieced it all together. I see that it involves setting up plans, enabling paypal, changing add_to_language_file.txt and other things and have tried these but never got it going correctly.
I seemed to get a sponsored plan up but the description never showed up even though I added it to the text file above after adding it in the admin plans section.
Can someone provide a list of the paid, sponsored and featured links options and how to seet them up? I'd like to see what all is available and hopefully be able to get right to it.
It would be greatly appreciated.

I am thinking of these kind of features...

This the standard way to set up s plan:
#1. Enable sponsored links in config - that will then show the Manage Plans in the admin menu.
#2. In Manage Plans select create
#3. Fill out the required fields - amke sure you abide by the rules for numbers in the price and day fields
#4. Save
#5. Then go to the Language editor and enter the text for the name and description EXACTLY as yo typed it into the plan. Also make sure you use the correct syntax.
I cheat, and just cut and paste the entry above and then overtype in the text, that way there's no way you can incorrectly enter.
#6. Save and that's it - and it works - i've just created one :)

redeye,
I did all that you listed and the plan name shows up but not the description. Here is the text I added to english.php:
'PlanA' => 'PlanA',
'Will place your listing at the top of all others.' => 'Will place your listing at the top of all others.',
Here is what it looks like when I am adding a link:

Does this all look correct? I placed the code in a couple different places in english.php but had the same results.
What do you think?
Thanks,
This may help:

What I usually do is take the text in the 2nd line and add it to the top
so it will look like this
'PlanA' => 'PlanA - Will place your listing at the top of all others',
'Will place your listing at the top of all others.' => 'Will place your listing at the top of all others.',

Thanks everyone.
The sponsored option is working now.
Now, what about featured links? I'd like to add a featured option that requires a reciprocal and appears below sponsored and above normal links. Is this possible?
Best,

This thread shows code on what to add to make free require reciprocal, so maybe you can get it to work with featured.
