Pre Sale questions

Well to put it briefly I have been around the block with using link directory scripts. So I want shoot out a few questions before I buy an unlimited license.

1) Obviously I own more then one directory. Does the unlimited license allow me to put sites on different servers? I own and use several of them also.
2) What happens if I decide to sell a directory (never have yet. But who knows might Google will buy me out because they cant compete with me anymore lol)
3) If you guy go nuts and change the version from 1.2 to 2.0 will I have to fork over money to upgrade to new version?
4) I played with the free one for a little bit, the moving to another category with the popup tree deal was a bit clunky for me, is there a mod that lets me have a menu (Sorry I am old fashioned lol)
5) Do I have to register all my domains before I can install it on them? (referring to the unlimited license)

1. Unlimited license means just that - you can use it on all your sites no matter where they hosted.

2. Buyer will have to purchase one domain license.

3. The price includes lifetime upgrades - no more payments after initial purchase.

4. This is template customization and you should describe it in more details. I am almost sure it can be done.

5. I don't think you have to register domain

I see you have sites running on phpLD and SiteSift...
What is the main reason you have desided to switch to eSyndicat?
Or you just planning to build some more sites?

Well humm how we word this. I am looking for a solution where all my direct are running the same script. For the last couple months I have been running SiteSift on several sites. Yesterday a exploit was discovered that can get you shut off from hosting. so that one got knocked off the list of maybe as of yesterday. The other contender was PHPLD. I was running the free version which is not bad but has a bug in search that I fixed, but the admin section is very time consuming. It also lacks a "ban" which will be handy as I get 50+ spam submissions on a slow day per site, I have gotten over 1000 before. The paid version looks ok but the license fee would be pretty high as I own 10 directories right now and will be expanding that soon. I have installed over 50 of these and even installed the pro version of syndicate a few days ago (for testing not on a working domain). And while not perfect seems to be the best value for the money.

I was previously a user and a fan of phpLD - up to version 3.0 (paid version). After that, with each update there were some new features added but I found them buggy and with each update had to revert back to version 3.0 to make it work again.

When I learned about eSyndicat, I discovered that all of the features I wanted were already included and it's STABLE!

At the moment, at least on my installations, phpLD 2.x lacks needed features and phpLD 3.x is just simply too much like beta software.
