I am seeing a rash of people summitting one domain, then entering a reciprocal link on some some huge links directory domain that is not related to their domain.
The idea here is to trade links between related TLD's, not between my site and a long winded URL link farm.
They do this because you link back to their domain and they benefit, but then they use some link farm on another domain and it does no good for your site. It's a simple trick for the search engines, all popular sites link to them, but their main domain does not link back, only some different URL link exchange domain with a PR of negative 10.
The question is this: Is there a WORKING method of link checking that only allows people to submit the reciprocal link that matches the submited domain? AND if it does not match, pop up a window that says "HEY! enter the correct domain knucklehead!" ???
I tried many different combination of the Link Checking config, but either is does not allow ANY submissions (enabled) or it allows anything (disabled).
Maybe this should be in the feature request area.
