Hello.

I am doing a fresh installation and I noticed that there was a patch. I have some questions about this if someone wouldn't mind asking. I have searched for an hour on the site (forum and documentation) but to no avail.

1) If I download the latest version of eSyndicat Pro, do I need to do the patch upgrade.
2) If yes, do I just upload files over the top?
3) If yes, do I need to do any SQL patching?
4) I have searched for hours for info relating to how to easily upload an image (ideally generating a thumbnail and a pop-up window). What is the best way to do this? Did the new patch allow for this?
5) What are the other issues the patch addresses? I can't find a changelog.

Your help is appreciated.

Jay.

Welcome to our forum, Jay!
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) No, you don't need to do anything with MySQL
4) Simply create new link field via admin CP (File Storage). Then you will have possibility to upload any files (images) via admin panel or user front-end. Unfortunately there is no simple way to create thumbnails now for uploaded images.
5) Have a look here:

Thanks Nick.

I tried to do the photo using the method you said. Created a file storage field. Then I added a listing and it didn't show the photo. When I went back in to edit the link, it didn't have it there either. What am I doing wrong?

Here is where I did it:

Please download our patch and apply it again. I would advice you also to change your admin panel credentials asap for security reason. PM me it next time.

That was a public demo site that I saw on the forum that supposedly had the patch applied. I got it off the thread you sent.

Cheers
