welcome to our support forums,
Yes, you can reset your admin password in your phpMyAdmin. Please go there and choose your eSyndiCat database -> dir_admins table. Click browse. Edit your admin record. Choose MD5 and enter new password. Click save and try to login again. Make sure you have cookies enabled.

I don't have access to myPhpAdmin and my ISP doesn't respond very quickly.
I don't have many links on it so can I just install again so than it puts the password back to admin?

I have broken so don't worry about it. I will get my ISP to delete it and start again.

I deleted everything in the directory (don't have myphpadmin available) and started reinstall from 11 then did the rest of the upgrade to 12. So far so good, it seems to be ok. Had a few errors in the install though (actually it was all errors) but at least it runs now. kept my links but have to redo the template.

I have gone back to 11 it seems to be working ok..I think I will leave it for a while now its going. some funny characters in the title thats all that seems to be wrong so far. I am scared to have another go because I had to move the links back to each catagory manually

Hi Simon, Nick and everyone,
Hello again.
It has been awhile since I posted here. [I upgraded my webhosting account last February and had been busy dealing with the upgrade issues the past few months.] Anyway, when I was preparing my Ecosystems photogalleries the past month, I decided the other night that I would use the eSyndicat links directory as an "indexing tool" for the various links generated by the photogalleries and the related articles.
I did manual input of categories and links to the directory last January with mixed results. I thought I would try the "subseo" approach of using excel and cvs then phpmyAdmin.
I seem to be able to export (download from the DB of my old link directory) but not the other way around. I was getting an error whenever I attempt to upload (import). When I was investigating it further, I found out that the table sturctures have been changed -- including that of the categories -- from 12 to 17 fields?
I wonder if this is also related to some errors encountered by Bob and others. I saw a thread by Echopulse indicating some problems, and he diagnosed it partly to be due to differences in table configuration. Where may we get more information about the use of the added fields?
I did not encounter any problem with the installation itself, but I have not had a chance to explore and try the new features yet. I will post another thread for clarifications on the new features.
I cannot access the Admin of the Demo panel -- using the "admin" "admin" mode. Has this been changed?
For now, is there a way to get a copy of the equvalent DB (export) of the Demo page? I think I can answer most of the questions that I wanted to ask, if I can see an "export sql file" for the Demo page.
By the way, it looks we can use the Admin page now to upload (import?) db files? That is a great addition! Thanks.

Hi, Cornelio
Now you can login to our demo admin area without any problems and then export database. Via admin panel go to manage database>>export; here you will see that functionality.

excuse me if i write in this post but i got the same problem: i've lost the pass.
The strange thing is that in the dir_admins table under the DB "name" field i got the string "admin", but it isn't my real username... in fact if i try to insert it in mysite.com/login.php he says invalid username.. so where is the username stored? ;)
However, i know my real username, and i modified the password field, setting MD5 function and then "execute" button. But it doesn't work :(
Can u help me?
p.s.
i think i got the 1.5ita version
