I just installed Pro 1.2 in a test area on my server with a test link. I have Pagerank enabled but it still isn't showing PR. It should be PR5.

Please help!

Thanks.

Hi, ohiobiz

Please check configuration on your server:

allow_url_fopen = on

Visit your admin area of eSyndiCat and click "SERVER INFO"

Ok, create php file and add this code:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

Save, run, look...

I have the same problem with my PR and I do have allow_url_fopen set for ON.

I think Simon knows there is a problem with the PR not working and is looking for a different solution.

Guys,
There is a problem specific for some servers :( It's related to calculations or somewhat. Now I'm trying to use CGI script instead of our php file that would fetch Google PageRank. Please be some more patient and you will get PageRank solution soon. Thanks

Will the CGI script still use allow_url_fopen? Until I came to these forums I'd never heard of so many webhosts who still left that feature ON. Most I know have turned it off for "security reasons".

Anyway, will the CGI script continue to use allow_url_fopen, or is there a non-allow_url_fopen workaround somewhere?

I dont think the problem is with the allow_url_fopen because my server has this set for ON but the PR still does not work. It must be something else or a combo of things

For me it's still first and foremost the allow_url_fopen because my host has that turned OFF.

i think i have get through it, 4 me it's working fine now ;)

i can provide a solution directly to the admin of this site, of course i want sth in return of that.. if admin refuse my proposal, i can sell it to any of you... it should work correctly but if not (and you have allow_url_fopen function ON) then i will refund you all what i get...

Free? Of course! We'll just wait for Simon to sort it.

Luckily we have some good people on here who help each other out when problems arise.

Greedy little people we don't need.

When Simon has the time I guess. Good for me I could give a **** less about the PR working, the more important thing is being able to accept payments which had a problem. I have fixed the payment problems and posted the solution for free :)
