On the main page, I can't seem to get the news to display. I wanted to display all news available on homepage. The template portion is ripped straight from the eThird template, news is enabled and there are news items. Any idea?

Have you selected enabled> news functionality> in News configuration (configs tab)? :)
Good luck :good:

Which template are you using? I've found that some won't call the news box.

I did click save changes, and confirmed it via database. I used the stock news portion at the bottom of footer.tpl from eThird/ template.

 Rather harsh isn't it ? Well from my experience if you left out a bracket or anything crucial it yells at you with an error.
I have and had problems with my news, I recall Nick told me to delete all news and try again, and something worked that time around, however it's a bit more involved now...try that delete the news and start again..

Yeah, still not working. As for it being harsh? Nah .. i figure, why overcomplicate a template? PHP was meant to be embedded in html, why go further? I use Savant2 for my development.

mrkris,
Is it possible that you haven't clicked Manage News and then CREATE in order to create a news item? You have to create it and then approve it. This is different thatn the Manage Pages section.
Good luck.

what about our new version? Do you have your news box displayed in our 1.2 version or you have the same problem?
