This may have been covered, but I was unable to find what i was looking for. Is there an option or setting to organize the category display?

Hi mrkris

I am presuming you want them alphabetically arranged?

Don't know it there is an easy way, probably via MySQL, but i don't go there :ooi: I do it through the >admin panel>set categories order> then using the little arrows to move them into the order you want...Not such a great way of doing it if you have typed in hundreds all random :( as takes ages to sort, so best to type them in order in the first place :cool-yo:

Hope this helps :)

btw, now you have an option in admin panel to set categories order = order them alphabetically or by manual order :) enjoy

Thank You :)

Just one question in the front end i have a two column display, they are alphabetically ordered, however they go from side to side rather than desending one side then the other..how would i sort that little imperfection? :tik:

The easiest way in your case is to order them manually…

Nick they were ordered manually

I typed each one in individually and all in alphabetical order because the old version had a naff order system of up and down arrows.. which by the way is now no longer available... you are telling me that i would have to manually swop them around so they show on my directories page, so how i am going to do that now?

Not impressed to say the least, and disappointed with replies these days :(

Hi Loren :)
because the old version had a naff order system of up and down arrows.. which by the way is now no longer available...

You can still sort with the arrows.

No your right, missed that critter, it wasn't particularly obvious being under links and navigation...and i wasn't that chuffed to see it anyway...there must be a better system that can sort each column descending rather than back and forth...aaaach! I give up i will just leave it. :(

Good feature, I was going to add it in our current version but I had not enough time to realize it. I can assure you we will add an option to choose order - vertical or horizontal

Sorry for the support
