Hello,
I was directed this way from Sitepoint. I'm currently using phplinkdirectory and will most likely be purchasing your product after the new upgrade releases on May 1st.
I have been looking around but havn't seen a specific feature list for the new upgrade. Is that something that I have overlooked and is available to see?
Just curious.
Thanks,
Paul
p.s. Bang up job, looks like great stuff :good:
Hi Paul Welcome :)
Here's what I know, from reading various posts by Simon.
hi guys,
well a list of new features. here are some most important IMHO:
#1. banner system
#2. advanced sponsored links system. (2checkout, plan options on suggest link page, etc )
#3. possibility to create pages directly in admin panel and modify them
#4. advanced database management
#5. conceptual modules system
#6. rss feeds
#7. rss news
#8. pre-built in page (contact us, tell a friend)
#9. report broken link
#10. listings numbers
#11. possibility to disable neighbour categories display for some categories
#12. categories level (for programmers, adds ton of flexibility)
+ many bugfixes(including search) and upgrades
In the next version there is a built-in editor for pages. You will be able to create pages directly in admin panel. (see pic at bottom of that post)

The new version is just a day away :)
Fingers crossed eddy :)
Haven't heard from Simon in about a week.
Also don't forget folks, most of us are in different time zones. So this May 1 date could differ depending on your location on this big rock in the sky. :)

Yeah, I am aware of that :) I'll probably wait till the 2nd to be sure that the 1st is over.
I guess Simon might be really busy rushing things off.

I can wait for it. I want it bad like everyone else, but I prefer he takes a little longer if needed to release it if it means that most bugs are worked out before it is done. Better to have a smooth rollout then a rushed one where we have to implement a lot of fixes.
