I have up loaded the script and the admin seems to work fine, I added a couple of catagories and a link, approved the link, then I uninstalled the install directory and can't seem to find the user pages to view the catagories

Hi gmedia

Well you may want to do a re-install. The install folder should of been deleted as the final step on installation.

Check here for install directions:
http://www.esyndicat.com/docs/install.html

Check out at the bottom of step #7

Hope that helps. If not ask away.

Greg :)

He said he did delete the install directory. The only thing I can think of, is that the Root directory might be set to -1, instead of 0, like it should be. It happens sometimes to people who upgrade. Since I dont' know if that's the case, it's the only thing I can suggest. Go to your phpMyAdmin and change the ROOT category to 0, if it's not already set to 0.

I too have up loaded the script and the admin seems to work fine, I added a couple of catagories and a link, approved the link, then I uninstalled the install directory and can't seem to find the user pages to view the catagories.

Do you have to install the script into a named dir?

welcome Malcolm :)
I checked your server configuration and it seems you have mod_rewrite installed. Please check if .htaccess file from script archive was uploaded to your server. It contains all necessary mod_rewrite rules
