Greetings,
Now you can add a newsletter for your site. You can see an example here:
Free PHP Directory (http://www.freephpdirectory.com/)
Installation Instructions:
#1. Download and install Mailer/Newsletter plugin
#2. You should see additional page in your admin panel -> Mass Mailer
There you can manage your subscribers (add/edit/remove them). You can create a broadcast and send to subscribers only.
Let us know if you have any comments

I downloaded the Mailer/Newsletter v1.2 plugin
I can't seem to locate in admin panel where the "#2. You should see additional page in your admin panel -> Mass Mailer" is located.
:bum-bum::confused:
I can see it on the demo under "Active plugins" as "Mass mailer"
But on my local what I see is "Newsletter" under Active plugins.
Other then that I see no way to create a newsletter or to send one to users.
This was just downloaded and installed Mailer/Newsletter v1.2
... bump ... thank you ...

Hello Greg,
I am sorry for delay. So Simon meant that you have to install TWO plugins. The mailer plugin and Newsletter.
Thanks Sergey
However there is no Mailer Plugin to download anymore. Or for that matter a Newsletter plugin.
All that is in the downloads area is a plugin called - "Mailer/Newsletter"
Mailer/Newsletter
Allows to email your directory accounts and listing owners. Creates newsletter box for subscribers
Last Updated: August 15, 2008
And there is no way to create a newsletter in the admin panel.

It still doesn't seem to work. I see no way to create a newsletter in the admin panel. Also no way send emails.

Hi Sergey
Yes this is on my local.
On both your version and the demo version they look the same.
But I still don't see the same at all with the latest release of this plugin.
I've attached 2 pics of what I see in admin panel.
Newletter1.gif shows what is under manage plugins. Note it just says Newletter and not Mass Mailer.
Newsletter2.jpg shows what I see when I click on "Newsletter" link.
So as you can see I'm :wallbash:
I sure wish someone else would install this plugin and let us now what they see. "Please"
Thanks:)
(as a side note again - it sure would be nice if we could attach larger size images images. Width and height)
By the way, I had another user who PM'ed today letting me know his install results were the same as mine.

Greg,
It is so strange. I created video, please look at it:
http://www.intellitests.com/video/good1/mailer_plugin.html
Thanks for the video Sergey. The print was a bit to small for me to see where you uploaded the files.
I kinda think there may be an issue on the files being uploaded to the incorrect locations (at least for me) even though I've done it at least 6 times.
But even in your video you don't show how (or where) to create a "Newsletter" to be sent to those who sign up to receive one.
I think I'll just upload a test site and then you can take a look at it live.
Also I think it may be for the good of others that we continue this discussion at:
http://www.esyndicat.com/forum/about15712.html
That way other members can add their replies. They can't post here in this thread.
Thanks much :good:
