Can 2 Classifieds scripts be used together?

I had an idea and registered domain for the local classifieds.

Now I am thinking that two sections could work just fine under the same domain...

Did you guys ever think about creating lighter version of lets say Auto Classifieds that could be added as a module to the RE classifieds or the other way around?

It will be a general classifieds software. You will be able to manage categories and create separate fields specific for these categories only. So you will be able to create categores like Real Estate and Autos and assign specific fields for these categories.
