How to download eSyndiCat 2.2 RC? - Read answer here

Greetings all,

I will post a separate post related to improvements and new features in our Pro 2.2 version. But at first I should explain how to download it.

First of all login to esyndicat.com account area (create an account if you do not have any). You can see now additional page - Manage Domains. On this page you create domain names where you use eSyndiCat software.

The software MUST not be and CAN't be installed on a domain name that does not exist in the domains list. So please be careful creating your domain name. For example you use esyndicat.com on

http://www.yourdomain.com/

you should click Add Domain and then input www.yourdomain.com (WITHOUT HTTP) and click button.

After that you will see downloads area if you have purchased eSyndiCat before. If not - you can see purchase link so you would be able to make an order of our software.

You can also download the version using Downloads page. Go there and choose domain name - where you want to install esyndicat. After you choose you will be able to see Downloads link in case you have correct permissions. If not you will see Purchase

Select manage domains and it will allow you to add more...:)

Hi Jack,
I see you have added just one domain. I re checked your account privileges and they are ok. When you create a new domain it will be auto approved.

do we need any specific server requirements for this new release? such as zend, ioncube and such?

and... is it necessary to have the www before the domain name?
For the following various cases, what should i key in?

subdomain1.domain.com/directory
subdomain2.domain.com/directory
domain.com/directory
www.domain.com/directory

Hi Good question pelican

No specific software. LAMP is a recommended server configuration.

1. PHP 4.3 or above (GD lib)
2. MySQL 4.0 or above
3. Apache with mod_rewrite

About domains. You should add them exactly as you use

(www.)domain.com - directory will be installed on domain.com or any subdirectory

if you install on subdomain you should add subdomain as well
subdomain.domain.com

the reason why i ask if www is necessary.
Although, i will install in http://www.domain.com, some visitors will access the site with http://domain.com and i am wondering if the directory will still work when visitors entering without www.

Simon I purchased an unlimited domain license as well. How do I download it?

Just add your domains where you use the script and that's all. After that you will be able to download the script

The same problem to me, I will only allowed to enter 1 Domain and than will apear a nice button to buy a license. :( Why I ordered a pro Version?

As well the installation ist not working: "eSyndiCat domain verification system" will not work with mir Username and key!

Sorry Simon to say this, but exactly this what we did (open ticket) last week, but it was answered in the following way:

Did you check the forums? I have announced there that if you purchased unlimited domains license you should contact me with your payment details and I will make the changes in your account.

What I should do now, open a ticket or read in a forum? We don't like this anyway, because we bought not long ago a service and now we are feeling like a beggar. Why is this change in the account not activated automatically?

I will now open again a ticket! Hopefully it will go in the right way?!
