cron problem

I'm using pro-2.01. I've a problem with cron and because of this my site was down.My hosting said a script on the server is not stopping and is running for ever.They said there is something wrong with /cron/check. How often i should run the cron? Can someone help me to sort this?

Hello Tom,

Well, first of all I recommend you update version to 2.1.03. Usually I set up a cron job for checking every 1 hour and set option "Number of links to check in one run" about 20-25 links.

thanks for the help. My cron was set to run once a day and Number of links to check in one run was 4000. Now i changed the settings like you said. If i do like this, will it update all the links in the directory??

Yes of course. Every hour the links will be updating. If you set 20 links for checking in one run.

1 hour = 25
10 hours = 250
24 hours = 600

I think 600 links it is enough for 1 day.
