Search not working in bluesearch template

I am trying free version 1.5
Everything went fine - install, create directories as I wanted, subdirectories as well etc.
Downloaded and installed template (bluesearch), changed the logos etc.

Everything works and looks fine except two issues or possible bugs.

1) Main Search box is not working and when I enter search word i.e house I takes me to next page with two search option (doesn't show Total links either).

I can use Advance search no problem (works fine).

When I use different free template for v1.5, search works fine, but directory is all cramped up (some words override others and looks messy)

So I am stuck with no option.

Please advise.
