What if we make a plugin to put that information from admin panel?
How do you think - would it be useful?

Hi folks,
I have just updated the plugin. Now you can download new version (1.1) of the plugin. Btw we have renamed plugin to "Google Tools".

Hi Sergey, With regard to Google Sitemaps / Google verify site meta tag plugin.
I installed the plugin and it stated plugin installed successfully. I went to management, configuration, Google tools and entered the entire line given for verification, but google comes back with not verified.. Google Says "We've detected that your verification file returns a status of 404 (Not found) in the header". I've verified the index.php and the code is in there. It appears to me that the plugin is fine.. Could you possibly have a suggestion for me as to why Google doesn't see what we see in the index.php? Is it possible Google is having a hard time with php? Would it be possible to just upload the google blank html file? I tried that too, but that also comes back as 404.. Please advise when possible.. Thanks! - Happy Crystal Last edited by Crystal; 12-14-2008 at 03:09 AM. Reason: New Information |

Weird I had the same thing happen today. I have a feeling it is google related, because I never placed the html file inside of the directory and got the exact same error.

I think this is a google webmaster tool problem and not intelliants.

Just add the meta to your header.tpl in your templates. (with other meta info)
