Exclamation mod_rewrite not supported żISAPI Rewrite?

hi,

my hosting told me that mod_rewrite is not supported in my windows hosting. i know the solution then is moving my hosting or purchasing the pro version

I don't want to move my hosting, and I want to test the script before purchasin. They told me they support ISAPI Rewrite that plays the same rol than mod_rewrite.

is it possibly to run the script using ISAPI Rewrite?

thank you

Hi jchichom and welcome.

Well, it's a known problem of our IIS hosting They do not support mod_rewrite. We have planned to implement support for ISAPI rewrite but we still had no chance to complete this issue. We will get back to it and try to implement support for ISAPI rewrite asap.

thanx sergey.

good to see that you care about your free version users also.

you know what? ISAPI Rewrite could be a great solution for IIS. They offer a lite free version of the plugin ...but only if your hosting is not on a shared server. If your site is on a shared server...your hosting administrators will tell you to purchase the full version of the plugin, because the lite version doesn't work (i've tried it). There's no problem with dedicated servers.

if you want to really offer a free version of your script, able to run under IIS Windows shared hosting servers, you're gonna have to implement Ionic's ISAPI Rewrite Filter (http://cheeso.members.winisp.net/IIRF.aspx)

i know i'm asking for too much.... but's it's only a suggestion

thank you anyway for the attention

Hello abelio,
Correct solution in this situation will be to ask about supports mod-rewrite at your new host company.

hello! Thank's to Sergey now my esyndicat direcotry works good in iis servers too...

I want to try to arrange all title and url via ISAPI_REWRITE but I'm not able to make it by myself...please could you help me to fix it?

Could the http.ini looks like it?

[ISAPI_Rewrite]

RewriteRule /([^/]*\.html) /index.php\?category=$1 [I,L]

# Block external access to the httpd.ini and httpd.parse.errors files
RewriteRule /httpd(?:\.ini|\.parse\.errors).* / [F,I,O]
# Block external access to the Helper ISAPI Extension
RewriteRule .*\.isrwhlp / [F,I,O]

Greetings,
I'm sorry but our script does not support ISAPI_Rewrite. We will check its syntax and try to adapt the script for it but I'm not sure if we can do that.
We are not too good at Windows IIS servers
