How Can I Remove Folders Icons From Categories

I need to remove the folder icons from showing on category listing.
I tried to remove the images but, the image location still shows.

Hi and welcome to our support forums

There are several ways to do that.

1. Simply use transparent image instead of default category icon:
includes/common/category-icons/default.gif

2. Modify your function that displays categories.
includes\smarty\plugins\function.print_categories. php
Simple get rid of code that displays image there.

Hello Lavardo, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you do not have the "Shell Icons" key, then you can just create it without a problem, or use the download to have it all done automatically for you.Kindle Wireless Reading Device Electronic Book Reader

when you delete the line that displays image it does work, but be carefull, because after you delete that line instead of category picture it will show up the category name, more specific it will leave the "alt" tab of the pict category.

I think the easiest way to remove the images is by removing the codes. You will have to select the specific code for each image and then delete it. Regarding the issue of removing folder icons I am not 100% sure. When I searched on the net I found that they can be removed by simply clicking on them and deleting them. But I don’t think that it is the right way. Anyway I will come up with the correct answer soon.
